LCM’s Luke McDow is a finalist for the Willie Ray Smith Award. He’s joined on the list by Ty’Anthony Smith of Jasper, Homer Ware of Hamshire-Fannett and Kirbyville’s Bron Melvin. McDow finished the season with 136 total tackles.
Offensive finalists include Silsbee’s Dre’lon Miller, Lucas Powell of Lumberton, PNG’s Isaiah Nguyen and Hieko Malone of Newton.
The award ceremony will take place March 3 at the Elegante in Beaumont.
