Larry Dale Greene, 89, of Vidor, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 16, 1937, and was a longtime resident of Vidor.
Larry was a member of Vidor Assembly of God church where he taught the adult Sunday School class for many years. He retired after 30 years as a maintenance mechanic for Goodyear Chemical. Larry was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed working with his hands. In his younger years, he enjoyed raising animals. He also enjoyed gardening, particularly raising roses for his “sweetie” Nita. Larry was a man of strong faith who always made time to read his Bible and enjoy Southern Gospel music.
He is survived by his children, Tammie Loe of Vidor, Texas; Randy Greene and wife Monica of Vidor, Texas; and Ray Greene and wife Beverly of Vidor, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and niece, Danna Bush.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Nita Greene; daughter, Donna Claybrook; and son-in-law, Paul Loe.
Larry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
