
Three of our local teams remain undefeated after the second week of the high school football season.
Orangefield is 2-0 after an 18-16 win over Bridge City. Gavin Gravett kicked the game winning field goal following a botched punt attempt by Bridge City that gave the Bobcats a short field.
OF lead 9-3 at the half and BC would take their first lead with a TD to make it 10-9. The Bobcats would respond to regain the lead 15-10 but a 73 yd TD run by Josh Luna just a few plays later put the Cards back on top 16-15 after missing a two point try. Luna would finish the night with 219 yds. on the ground.
Defensively, Kolte Morgan led Orangefield with eight tackles.

WOS 21 Nederland 9 – The Mustang (2-0) defense held the Bulldogs to 47 rushing yards and 78 passing yards in the win.
Khelvy Jefferson ran for 139 yds. and three touchdowns to once again lead the offense as the Mustangs were able to recover from three turnovers during the game.

LCM 23 Jasper 17 – The Bears improved to 2-0 as QB Jakson Struwe rushed for 105 yds with TD’s of 53, 35, and 5. Defensively the Bears were lead by Ethan Pope and Brycen Chargois.

Vidor (1-1) lost to Hamshire-Fannett 52-10 in their home opener. The Longhorns (2-0) lead at the half 28-3.
Rylan Chesser scored Vidor’s TD from 1 yd. out and Troy McElveen added the PAT and the field goal.
