The Life of Joseph O. Garrick, 79, of Orange, will be celebrated during Memorial Services, Friday, February 13, 2025, at 10am at St. Therese Catholic Church.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am.
Joseph Ora Garrick was born February 3, 1945, in Church Point, LA to Anna Carrier Garrick and Ora Garrick.
He passed February 1, 2025, at his residence.
Residing in Orange since he was about 3 years old, everyone knew him as “Black Boy”. And everyone knew him, always had a conversation to share, always had time to ask if you were ok and “what’s goin on”?
For many years he worked at the former Weingarten’s Grocery Store. He was also an ILA Union Crane Operator in the local shipyards.
He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
Preceding him in death were his wife Audrey, his parents, and brother Donald Garrick.
Forever cherishing his memory are one son, Joseph O. Garrick, Jr. (Michelle) of Orange and one daughter, Erma Garrick Temple (Clyde, III) of Anahuac, TX, two brothers, Darrow Garrick (Aline) of Vallejo, CA and Doug Garrick (Alana) of San Francisco, CA, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
