A 44 year old Orange man was indicted by a Jefferson County Grand Jury on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
On July 4, Beaumont Police were called to a home on Fonville after the 911 caller said she was being assaulted by her boyfriend Leejay Chargois.
According to police Chargois struck the female with his hands, beat her with a metal tripod, choked her and held a knife to her stomach while she was in a fetal position. He then fired a 9mm pistol in her direction, missing her and putting a hole in the wall.
Officers arrived and took Chargois into custody. His victim was taken to a Beaumont hospital with what was called many visible injuries.

Dekobi Leray Fisher, 45, of Orange, was indicted for Collision Involving Death, a Second Degree Felony.
According to reports, on August 9, Fisher was traveling eastbound on Gulfway Drive in Port Arthur when he veered off the roadway and struck Kimberly Viator.
Fisher did not stop to render aid and did not return upon seeing damage to his vehicle. Viator later succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
