Jean Lindsey Johnson, 90, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas. Born in Beaumont, she made Vidor her home and was a beloved member of the community.
A dedicated member of Turning Point Church, Jean’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She retired as a custodian for Vidor Independent School District, where her hard work and kindness left a lasting impact on students and staff alike.
Jean had a green thumb and a passion for flower gardening. Her vibrant blooms brought joy to her family and friends, much like her warm and caring nature. She adored her dogs, Critter and Coco, who were her loyal companions.
She is survived by her children: Sheila Lewis of Vidor, TX; Charla Miller and husband Rich of Vidor, TX; Charles Johnson of Vidor, TX; Roger Johnson and wife Bobbie of Vidor, TX; and Nadine Reed and husband Robert of Vidor, TX. She is also survived by her sisters, Rusty Eastwood and Judy Nash, both of Vidor, TX, 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Johnson; her children, Brenda Bailey, Terry Johnson, and Jimmy Johnson; and her brothers, Robert Rogers, Jerry Rogers, Butch Rogers, and Donald Rogers.
Jean will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love of family, and her ability to brighten every life she touched. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
