A 22-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday night for burglary after a house was trashed on Edgemont Drive. Orange police said the resident of the house said the woman was his ex-girlfriend.
Police went to the 3500 block of Edgemont about 10:30 p.m. The patrol officer reported seeing a woman outside standing by a Toyota Corolla. She was bleeding from a cut on a right knuckle and a cut on her right knee. The officer also said she smelled of alcohol, slurred her words and had bloodshot eyes.
The inside of the house had “extensive damage” throughout, with picture frames broken and a bedroom dresser damaged. Blood was inside the house. In addition, a surveillance camera system was damaged. The officer said one of the surveillance cameras was found inside the Toyota.
Lauren Lin Cole of Orange was arrested for burglary and taken to the Orange County Jail.
A Cub Cadet lawn mower was stolen Tuesday from the garage of a house in the 3200 block of Montclair Drive. The resident called Orange police about 3 p.m. to report the lawn mower was no longer in the garage. Police said the garage door was open and a car was parked inside, with another car parked on the driveway.
