
Glenn Edward Byrd, 73, of Orange, died Sunday, October 4. He was born on December 25, 1952, to Faye Justice Byrd and Neely Howard Byrd, in Port Arthur.
Glenn was known as “Cowboy” to his granddaughter and close family. Glenn loved to fish. He liked car racing and was often a spectator at the racetrack. On any nice day he could be found on his lawn mower. He loved yard work, especially mowing
He is survived by his wife, Rynada Byrd; daughter, Sydney Taquino and her husband, Daniel; granddaughter, Madison Taquino; siblings, Neely Byrd and his wife, Linda and Deborah Stanley and her husband, Joseph; mother-in-law, Barbara Garry; sister-in-law, Rebecca Simoneaux and her fiancé, Robby Woodson; aunt, Jane Mannino and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Melvin Simoneaux and nephew, Timothy Stanley.
A gathering of Mr. Byrd’s family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, at Broussard’s, in Nederland. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
