
Dora M. Lowe passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, in Galveston, Texas, at the age of 81. Born on July 10, 1944, in Orange, Texas, she was the daughter of Richard Ramirez Pachuca, Sr. and Alejandra Arciva Pachuca. A devoted housewife and mother, Dora was cherished for her loving nature and her unwavering commitment to her family.
She spent her entire life in Orange, Texas, where she met her future husband, Dalton Ray Lowe, during their high school years. The couple enjoyed a loving marriage that lasted 58 years. Dora’s life was marked by her passion for playing Wahoo, a board game she often enjoyed with her relatives, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love for her family was immense, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dora was a faithful member of St. Maurice Catholic Church. Her commitment to her faith and community was evident in the way she lived her life, always putting others before herself. She was a remarkable woman whose presence brought warmth and joy to those around her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Dora is survived by her sons, Dalton Ray “Bubba” Lowe, Jr. of Mauriceville, and David Henry Lowe and his wife, Denisha, of Orange; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Stanley of Buna; brother, Rudy Pachuca and his wife, Dana, of Mauriceville; sisters, Bobbie Toomey and her husband, John, of Orange, and Lupa Brown and her husband, Donald, of Mauriceville. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Josh Latham and his wife, Dusti, Justin Latham and his wife, Caroline, Jessica Gilbert, Dawson Lowe, Carley Lowe, and Dianna Lowe; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Joshlynne, Dalton, Logan, and Frankie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Ray Lowe, Sr.; parents, Richard and Alejandra Pachuca; and brother, Richard Pachuca, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas with Jack Henry Bartlett officiating.
Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the service time.
Burial will follow at Smith-Mason-Deas Cemetery.
