Dolores Young, 89, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Spindletop Hill Nursing Home in Beaumont.
A longtime resident of Vidor, Dolores was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Vidor and enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with those she loved. An exceptionally talented seamstress, Dolores used her gifts to create many treasured items for family and friends throughout the years. She was married to the love of her life, Charles Wynn Young, for 62 wonderful years, sharing a lifetime of love, faith, and cherished memories.
Dolores is survived by her daughters, Patricia “Patsy” Benoit of Vidor and Penny Foster and husband, Curtis, of Vidor; her sister, Glenda, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles Wynn Young; her daughter, Coy Bergen; and her great grandson, Rylan Oney.
Dolores will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering devotion to her family, her strong faith, and the kindness she shared with everyone she met. Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
