While others were waiting for Thursday’s clue, Mackenzie Davis, of Orange, along with her mom Kristy and sister Montana were out in the chilly temps late Wednesday night looking for the KOGT Mardi Gras Treasure certificate. And their persistence paid off as they found the certificate at the Post Office on 4th St.
Davis said, “I’ve been looking for years and I finally found it!” After Wednesday’s clue talked about the bald eagle Davis began looking things up and told KOGT, “it said the bald eagle was the symbol of the post office.” The certificate was found inside one of the decorative bricks in the front of the building on 4th St.
Not exactly the way KOGT drew it up but hey, she did her homework and beat everyone to the prize.
Clue #1 started you south on 16th St. and the next day was traveling west on MacArthur Drive. Wednesday was getting you down Strickland and Thursday’s clue would’ve moved you down Park St.
Congratulations to the Davis’ and thank you to our sponsor Sabine Federal Credit Union.
