Friday will be the last day for city business in the two-story, red brick Orange City Hall on Green Avenue.
Monday, city administrative offices will moved to a renovated bank building at 812 North 16th Street. It will be the first time in local history that city hall has not been in downtown.
The new city hall is in the former First Financial Bank building. The offices at the new building will be the city manager, city secretary, economic development, finance department, convention and visitors bureau, and customer service for paying water-sewer bills. The old bank building will have a drive-through to pay the water bills.
Some city personnel will need to go back to driving their vehicles for meetings. The police and fire department administrations are downtown in their respective stations across from the old city hall. The building for public works and city planning are also downtown across from the old city hall. fffffffffffff
