Carol Sue Granger, 88, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 14, 2025, at Focused Care in Orange.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Rev. Gary McCormick. A private graveside for family will follow at Niblett’s Bluff.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 12:00 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on April 4, 1936, she was the daughter of Angus T Pachar and Mary Frances “Mamie” (Roberts) Pachar. She dedicated over 20 years of her life as an elementary teacher at Orangefield, impacting the lives of countless children with her commitment and warmth. Carol deeply loved her family and cherished the time spent together. She had a strong faith, being a faithful member of the First Christian Church, where she found much joy and community. In her leisure time, Carol loved to travel with her husband and enjoyed RV camping with her family, creating lasting memories in the great outdoors. She had a passion for cooking and sewing, always finding joy in these creative hobbies. Her love for the Bible guided her life, and she took many Bible study classes that enriched her faith and understanding. Carol will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for her family, and the many lives she touched during her time on Earth.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Angus and Mamie Pachar; husband, Wendell Granger; son, Dean Granger; and siblings, Max Pachar, Marilou Gunn, Ruth Mae Peveto, and Sonny Boy Pachar.
She is survived by her son, Al Granger; grandson, Shelby Granger; great granddaughter, Fia Granger; sister-in-law, Nancy Pachar; daughter-in-law, Kim Granger; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
