Sunday morning the National Hurricane Center says the expected slow motion of Beta will produce a long duration rainfall event from the middle of the Texas Gulf Coast to southern Louisiana. Flash, urban and river flooding is likely. Rainfall will spread northward by mid-week to the lower Mississippi River Valley by mid week.
A little good news is that the NHC now doesn’t expect Beta to become a hurricane before landfall.
