Former Dallas Cowboy and Texas Aggie great Dat Nguyen came to Orange recently to speak at a Salvation Army event and he was interviewed by KOGT’s Gary Stelly in front of a live audience.
It was his first trip to Orange but he has ties with many locals. He was coached by RC Slocum and Wade Phillips and he played with Chris Cole and Kevin Smith. The linebacker has an incredible resume. He’s in the Aggies Hall of Fame, Texas Sports HOF, Cotton Bowl HOF, College Football HOF, and he’s a member of the All-Time Big 12 Team. He currently resides near Fort Worth and owns a Chick-Fil-A in that area.
Unfortunately due to time constraints the interview was not as long as we would’ve liked and it was also the day before TS Edouard came to SE Texas so things were a little hectic. But, we did record the interview for Behind The Mic and think you’ll find it interesting, especially how Dat and his family came to Texas.
