On September 25, 2020, Anna Sue Latham (nee Peveto) of Orange passed peacefully in her sleep at 84 years of age at the Lake Jackson Healthcare Center. She was the widow of William Latham, also of Orange and a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Anna Sue was born on February 27, 1936 to Vernon and Beulah (nee Linscomb) Peveto and lived most of her life in Orange, Texas. She graduated from Orangefield High School in 1954 and joined the US Army, serving during the Korean conflict. She married William Latham in 1957 and they remained together until his passing in 2010.
Anna Sue is preceded in death by her husband, William Latham, parents Vernon and Beulah Peveto, her brother Ralph Peveto and her sister Lenora Peveto Clark.
Anna Sue is survived by her brother David Wayne Peveto of Mt. Vernon, WA and her three children; Molly Latham Schilling and her husband Charles of Orange, TX, Mary Latham of Hemphill, TX and Lamar Latham of Crowley, LA, six grandchildren; Amber Matlock Peveto, Harley John Matlock, Aimee Lee Carter, Sarah Schilling, Alisa Moody Usher and Moses Latham, great grandchildren; Jaicee Wren Harrison, Carter Usher, Kristen Sims, James Hunter Sims, Madison Grace Peveto, Colton Peveto, Ashleigh Matlock, Crystal Matlock, Ricky Lee Matlock, Taylor Matlock, Alexis Baumgartner, Hannah Baumgartner, Aveline Martin and one to arrive in December and great-great grandchildren; Valeera Clemens, Aspen Matlock and one to arrive in January.
Services to honor Anna Sue will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Sullivan officiating. Family and friends will gather for a visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will follow at a later date at Mary Williams Cemetery.
