Friday night during Bridge City’s win over Liberty the Cardinals recognized the 25th Anniversary of the 2001 team that reached the 3A Semifinals.
The 2001 Cardinals won District 21, and then beat Liberty, Sweeny and Mexia before running into a Sinton team that would play for the title.
Head Coach James Conway, now retired, was in attendance. “We had a great group of young men. We weren’t the biggest team but they played together.”
