The Pinehurst City Council is scheduled to address several issues during its October 13 meeting, including updates on the city’s comprehensive plan, economic development, a major drainage improvement project and regulations concerning manufactured homes. The meeting is scheduled to start at 6pm.
Lauren Anderson is expected to provide a presentation and update on the City of Pinehurst Comprehensive Plan, which is being funded through the Texas General Land Office.
The council will also hear a presentation from the Orange County Economic Development Corporation.
One of the major items on the agenda involves the city’s drainage improvement project. Council members will discuss and possibly award a $1,064,293 construction contract to Experts Underground Solutions, LLC. The company was the low bidder, and the award is being recommended by the project engineer. The work is associated with the city’s Texas General Land Office Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery Reallocation Program grant.
The council will also consider an addendum to the city’s Procurement Policy that would establish procedures for accepting and handling electronic bids.
Another agenda item involves a possible variance to Ordinance 2023-08, Chapter 53-3(b), which addresses the allowable age of manufactured homes within the city.
Related to that issue, council members will discuss and possibly take action on a manufactured home application submitted by Mike Blank for property located at 3729 Mockingbird.
The meeting will give council members an opportunity to receive updates on ongoing planning and economic development efforts while also considering significant infrastructure spending and a request involving the city’s manufactured-home regulations.
