The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated a two-vehicle crash on Interstate Highway 10, west of Orange, that occurred Monday, March 30, 2026.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 4:12 a.m., a 2021 Jeep Cherokee was traveling west, while a 2024 Kenworth towing a 2025 Hyundai trailer was parked on the west bound shoulder of I.H. 10. It was reported that the driver of the Jeep fell asleep while driving, failed to maintain a single lane of travel, and struck the parked trailer in the rear.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as 25-year-old Gavin Johnson of Oakdale, La. was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Beaumont Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Kenworth, identified as 46-year-old Ismael Calleros-Camarillo of Mexico and one passenger identified as 48-year-old Omar Camarillo of Mexico, were not injured.
