Local Companies Demonstrate Commitment to Community and Environment
Last week, teams from the Chemical Row Industry Group (CRIG) gathered to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and to participate in their second annual collaborative trash pickup event. Representing a shared commitment to being good neighbors and stewards of our environment, employees from various companies came together at FM 1006, ready to make a diƯerence in their community.
“When it comes to caring for our community, we set aside competition. Today we are not rivals – we are neighbors united by a common purpose to make Orange a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming place for everyone, “ said Chrissy Babcock, Dow Public AƯairs & Special Projects Leader. In just one hour of dedicated work, the volunteers collected more than 600 pounds of trash from the FM 1006 roadway—an impressive feat that underscores their dedication to caring for shared spaces. The event not only beautified a vital stretch of roadway but also strengthened bonds between neighboring businesses.
This cleanup is part of an ongoing eƯort to highlight the importance of environmental responsibility and local collaboration. By working side by side, the industry teams sent a clear message: taking care of our surroundings is a priority, and together we can create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming community for everyone. “CPChem’s motto is Production by Design, Caring by Choice. Partnering with our industry neighbors to care for our community, like through this trash pick-up, is core to who we are at our Orange plant,” said Chevron Phillips Chemical Orange Plant Manager, Carrie Phillips.
The success of the second annual trash pickup event along Chemical Row stands as a testament to what can be achieved when businesses unite for a common cause.
