
Charles Wynn McKnight was born on April 3, 1979, and passed into eternal life on June 17, 2025 in Mauriceville, Texas.
He was a man who found joy in the simple things–whether it was a quiet morning spent hunting, casting a line on the water, or laughing around a fire with family and friends. A hard worker by nature, Charles took pride in everything he did and never hesitated to lend a hand to those in need. Known for his caring spirit and a heart of gold, he left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Brittany McKnight of Mauriceville, TX; seven children, Gracie Jackson of Mauriceville, TX, Mason Jackson of Mauriceville, TX, MaKenzie Sanders of DeRidder, LA, Chelsea McKnight of Merryville, LA, Charlie McKnight of DeRidder, LA, Samantha McKnight of DeRidder, LA, and Dominic McKnight of Sherburn, MN; and his beloved grandchildren, Legend, Loralye, and Hazel.
He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Janett and Darrell Thompson of Merryville, LA; siblings, Tonia and Rick Hatfield of Merryville, LA, Dylan Thompson and fiancee` Karly of DeRidder, LA, and Hunter Thompson of Merryville, LA; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts , uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Odis Earl McKnight; grandparents, Lenora Strevels, Milton Mims Sr. and Freddie and Lillie Mae McKnight; uncles, James and John Allen; aunt, Renea; and his stepson from a previous marriage, Caleb.
His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he shared and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
