
The LCM Bears held off a late rally by Lumberton to beat the Raiders 3-2 at Don Gibbens Field. The Bears jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to a Parker Seago HR. Clay Darby drove in Clay Raney in the second and a Sac Fly by Jakson Struwe in the fourth scored Ethan Fry for a 3-0. Lumberton would score two in the fifth and then in the seventh the Raiders had the tying run at third when Seago hit his pitch count. Parker Freeman came in to get the final out and move LCM to 5-0 in district. Seago struck out 12 and walked only three in the victory.

Chicks dig the long ball at Bridge City as the Cards hit three out in a 12-5 win over Silsbee. Hunter Ford, Carson Bounds, and Slade Landry all went yard. Carson Sauceda was 3-3, Owen Tucker 2-4 3RBI’s and Landry’s HR was a grand slam in the first. The game was tight until the fourth when BC exploded for 6 runs. Max Pachar got the win, scattering 10 hits in five innings, giving up five runs, two earned, with a walk an no strikeouts.

Orangefield shutout Kountze 4-0 behind the arm of sophomore Carson Gonzales who struck out 12 in the two hit shutout. Cole Sanches had an RBI double and Kaleb Menard an RBI triple in the victory.

Vidor beat WOS 20-0. Vidor outhit WOS 11-2 as the Mustangs had a handful of errors. Alex Parish got the win with 10K’s. Peyton McLeod, Noah Rains, Jett Brucia and Rylan Chessar all had two hits and two RBI’s.

Deweyville lost to Danbury 17-0. Bryson Dieter threw a no hitter for the Panthers with 10K’s.

SOFTBALL
Baylee Smith and the Deweyville Lady Pirates were cruising with a 4-0 lead but Danbury would score seven in the 7th for a 7-4 win and the first district loss for the Pirates. Smith struck out 14 before running into trouble in the seventh. The LP’s scored all of their runs in the first inning.

It was 3-3 going into the bottom of the fourth between LCM and Vidor when the Lady Bears scored three and went on to win 6-3 to stay undefeated in district. Tessa Erickson had a three run homer in the first for LCM. Ella Stephenson came in to pitch in the fourth and held the Pirates to one hit.

Bridge City ran over Lumberton 16-1 (3) to earn a playoff spot for the 26th consecutive season. Nicole Sasser was 2-2 with 4RBI’s and Kaitlyn Juneau had 3 RBI’s. Cambree LaComb threw a one hitter in the three inning victory.

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats celebrated their faculty and staff with a 7-0 win over East Chambers to move to 10-0 in district play. Teal Kibodeaux got the win on the mound, surrendering just 1 hit with 1 walk and 11 strikeouts in 7 innings of work.
Hallee Becker had a hit, 2 runs scored and an RBI. Teal Kibodeaux had a walk and 2 runs scored. Charlee Sanches had an RBI. Alysen Vincent added a single. Jocelyn Droddy had a walk and a run scored. Laila Agerton had a hit, an RBI and a run scored. Madi LaSalle had a walk, a single and a run scored. The Lady Bobcats (26-4) will travel to Kountze this Friday with a varsity only match-up beginning at 5:00.
