In an Orange County battle Tuesday night, the Bridge City boys and girls beat Little Cypress-Mauriceville in district play. All scores listed below.
The Cardinals got a big 69-49 win at home over LCM. Aiden Gutierrez went off for 26 points. Aaden Bush added 18, Stephen Stone and Lincoln Breaux scored 9, Jagger Carlin 5 and Hunter Silveira 2. BC improves to 1-1 and LCM is 0-1 (9-14).

Orangefield whipped Hardin 79-28 to improve to 2-0 (20-3). Jaden Scales went full scale with 26 pts, 7 assists, and 6 steals. Kane Smith and Garrett Rawls scored 13 and pulled down 6 boards, Griffin Thomas added 11/4 and Zane Wrinkle dished out 11 assists to go along with 8 pts.

BC beat on the road LCM 30-29. The Cards were lead by Kennedy Campbell with 14 points, Nicole Sasser with 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. BC improves to 3-1 and the Bears drop to 1-2.

The Lady Bobcats returned from break to take on the Hardin Lady Hornets and took the win 60-52. This improves them to 2-1 in district play. Mikayla Locke led the offense with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Greenlea Oldham followed that with another double double – 13 points, 10 rebounds and a team high 5 steals. Steeyle Franklin had 10 points, 2 steals, and 2 assists. Olivia Smith had 8 rebounds, Rebecca Durbin had 5, and Kaylea Gravett had 3 assists. The Lady Bobcats will be at home Friday January 5th against Warren. The game will be varsity only beginning at 6:00.
