James David Lampman, 74, of the Woodlands, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2023, in Houston, Texas.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on February 19, 1949, he was the son of Edward A. Lampman, Jr and Lottie (Hennigan) Lampman.
Jim was a 1967 graduate of Little Cypress High School, Orange, Texas, Union College, Tupelo, Mississippi and Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri where he received his CRNA certification.
Jim served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an X-ray technician, where he met the love of his life.
Jim was a retired Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. He enjoyed cooking (especially barbecuing), fishing and spending time with his family. Jim had a love of music, and in his younger years he was a singer and drummer in local bands. He was known as “Papa Jim” to his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 53 years, Cathy (Mitchell) Lampman; his sons, John Lampman and wife, Amy of the Woodlands, James Lampman and wife, Gina of Friendswood, Joseph Lampman of Prescott, Arizona: his brothers, Edward A. Lampman III and wife Jane of Mauriceville, Roger K. Lampman of Bridge City; his sister, Dora E. Stone and husband Bryan of Spring; his grandchildren, Jake, Lauren, Cara, Megan, Emily and Zane, along with numerous other family members and friends.
