Carolyn Ann Jagneaux, a beloved member of the Vidor and of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the age of 69. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories. Carolyn, raised in Vidor, Texas, was a dedicated homemaker who found immense joy in caring for her family. Her warm and nurturing nature was a testament to her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had an unwavering commitment to her family, always putting their needs above her own.
One of Carolyn’s enjoyments was fishing, and she spent countless hours casting lines and making treasured memories with her loved ones by the water. She had an artistic flair as well, indulging in the creation of beautiful quilts and crocheting intricate pieces that will be cherished by her family for generations to come.
Carolyn is survived by the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Jagneaux of Vidor, TX, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. Their bond was a source of inspiration to all who knew them, a testament to the enduring power of love. She is also survived by her children, Anthony Roy Jagneaux of Vidor, TX, Christopher Jagneaux of Little Cypress, TX, and Richelle Jagneaux Allison and her husband David of Mauriceville, TX. Her dedication to her children was evident in the love and guidance she provided throughout their lives. Carolyn is remembered by her brother, Cecil “Bubba” Wayne Chambliss and his wife Carrie of Mauriceville, TX, and her sister, Brenda Faye Culbreth of Vidor, TX. Her siblings were not only family but also dear friends who shared in the tapestry of her life.
Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Sarah Lusich and her husband John, Colton Allison and his wife Kayleigh, Gage Jagneaux, Rylee Hargroder, Katlyn Jagneaux, Destiny Jagneaux, and Brianna Jagneaux. Carolyn’s unconditional love and wisdom will remain with them always. Additionally, Carolyn leaves behind great-grandchildren: Jaydin David, McKinlee Seymore, Jaylee Lusich, Maylee Lusich, Reagan Allison, Rose Garcia, and Violet Garcia.
She took immense joy in their presence and will forever be a source of inspiration for them. Carolyn Jagneaux’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones as they continue to cherish the lessons she imparted and the love she shared.
