A man who identified himself as God was arrested Monday morning for trespassing at Wal-Mart in West Orange although he said he couldn’t be arrested because he owned Wal-Mart.
The 50 year old man, who is known by police by his real name, John Giessinger, was causing a scene on the property between the store and the gas station.
Police tried to get him to just leave but he continued to taunt people passing by. West Orange Asst. Chief Jessie Romero said they called in extra units because he fought with Pinehurst officers a couple of weeks ago during a warrant arrest.
Giessinger was eventually arrested and charged with criminal trespassing.
