
Tough night on the courts for our area teams with only two coming away with victories. It was also the final regular season game for the ladies while the boys have two district games left.

Bridge City lost at home to Lumberton 61-45. The Cards (5-5) had a tough night shooting the ball. Lumberton (6-5) built a 19 point lead and then played keep-a-way in the fourth quarter. Lincoln Breaux had a good game for BC, leading the Cards with 12 points. Holt led the Raiders with 20 (6-3’s). BC goes to Jasper Friday and then home Tuesday against WOS.

LCM beat Jasper 78-58. Ben Elliott had 20, Noah Fuller 14, Alantheon Winn 12 and Da’Marion Morris with 15-10-10. The Bears (7-3) go to WOS Friday and then host Silsbee Tuesday.

Orangefield lost to Anahuac 50-46. Both teams are now 9-3 and tied for second behind EC. Pete Ragusa (20) and Zane Wrinkle (18) scored 38 of the 46 points. Bobcats go to Kountze Friday and then finish the regular season at home Tuesday against Kirbyville.

Deweyville lost to West Hardin 84-52. Nathan Berry had 21 and 6 rebounds and Noah Watson scored 16 with 7 reb. and 4 assists.

LCM lost to Jasper 44-43. Despite the loss the Bears will enter the playoffs as the #2 seed with a 9-3 mark.

Orangefield beat Anahuac 27-24. Kaylea Gravett had 11 points. Greenlea Oldham had 7 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. The JV got the night started with 70-6 win. This puts them as the Undefeated District Champs, also they only had one loss on the season. Leaders for this game were Addison Moore with 16 points, 7 steals and 1 assist. Rebecca Durbin had 15 points, 4 steals and 5 rebounds. Kendall Sullivan had 13 points, 8 steals and 3 rebounds.

WOS lost to Silsbee 74-41. The Tigers win district with a 12-0 mark. The Mustangs finish 4-8.

Lady Pirates Soccer crushed it last night at Hardin Jefferson winning both Varsity and JV games. The varsity game was decided in the final seconds with Chloe Post converting a game-winning penalty kick, and her second goal of the night, to give the Lady Pirates the 2–1 victory! Vidor still remains tied for first place in district with Lumberton. The JV team won their game 5–1 with Miley Rice, scoring three goals, AnnaBella Burns, and Ashlynn Martin each scored a goal. Laney King and Gracelen Simmons each had an assist. Lady Pirate Soccer will face Jasper this Friday at home.
