Tyler Wayne Melton, age 28, of Orange, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020. Arrangements were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
Tyler was born on Saturday, October 26, 1991, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to parents, Kenneth Wayne Melton and Kathy Renee (Becker). Tyler was a resident of Orange, Texas after moving to a few different places, but ultimately came to find that Orange was his home. He loved spending quality time with his family, every chance that life allowed. He had two children, Tyler Wayne Melton, Jr. and Taylor Joe Melton, whom he absolutely adored. Tyler Wayne Melton, Jr., “TJ”, is the exact replica of his daddy from his entire demeanor, to the way he walks, talks and thinks. His daddy will live on in him forever. Fishing and yard work were also things that he enjoyed doing. His love for working on cars, tinkering with things while he took engines apart and then putting them back together, led to a career as an automotive mechanic which made him feel happy. Always mischievous, he enjoyed joking with his co-workers at Granger Chevrolet.
Tyler was a loving son, father, brother, grandson and friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Leslie L. Becker and Joe T. Melton.
Tyler is survived by his loving children; Son, Tyler Wayne Melton, Jr. “TJ” and Daughter, Taylor Joe Melton; parents, Kenneth Wayne Melton, Kathy Renee Barron and husband Donald, sister, Shelly Butler and husband David, grandparents Flo Melton and Scherry Becker, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
