Skimmer Found in Orange
A gas station off Interstate 10 found a credit card skimmer on a pump Thursday and called Orange police. It was the first skimmer reported in the city in more than a year. Orange police show the skimmer was found at the Valero station, 7253 Interstate 10 at Highway 62. Thieves secretly put skimmer devices on the credit card-debit card readers at gas pumps. The skimmer sends the numbers on the cards to the crooks, who then use the numbers for illegal purchases without the owner's knowledge. The city had numerous reports of skimmers in 2015 through 2016, but none recently. Police advise … [Read more...] about Skimmer Found in Orange

The council has a regular meeting set for Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and the tax rate vote is on the agenda. Vidor Beats Bears 44-7
The Vidor Pirates improved to 3-0 on the season after a 44-7 win over the winless LCM Bears. The game started 45 minutes late because of lightning in the area and the wet field proved to be an opponent for both teams as they combined for six fumbles and a muff in the first half. Both teams scored early on big plays. Vidor's Brad Nunez scampered 74 yards for a score on the Pirates second possession but the two point conversion was missed. LCM responded two plays later on a 75 yard touchdown pass from Homecoming King Adam Pope to sophomore Brendon Pollock. A Kooper Abernathy kick gave … [Read more...] about Vidor Beats Bears 44-7

Cougars Comeback To Beat WOS
A long trip and a bigger opponent may have taken its toll on West Orange-Stark. The Mustangs failed to hold on to a first half lead and lost to the Crosby Cougars on Friday night 35-24 at Cougar Stadium. The 90-mile drive may not have been as significant as the facing a very good team that is a full classification above of them appeared to wear the Mustangs down in the second half. The Cougars outscored West Orange-Stark 28-7 in the last two quarters. Crosby (3-0) used its no huddle offense to keep the WO-S defense on the field and did not allow the Mustangs to substitute.
