West Orange-Stark took a big first step in the playoffs Thursday night with a 73-0 win over Tarkington (3-7) in Beaumont.
The Mustangs (11-0) dominated from start to finish, including a running clock in the fourth quarter.

Carter scored on a fumble in the end zone. Skinner on a pick six.
Defensively, besides giving up just 10 yds of offense, the Chain Gang recorded 20 plays of zero or negative yards.
It was the Mustangs Eighth shutout in 11 games. Outscoring their opponents 594-30.
They will face the winner between Robinson and Caldwell, who face each other Friday night.
Robinson is favored.
