Renna Toomey celebrates a big point as the LCM Lady Bears defeated Silsbee in a thrilling five set win at home (25-22, 23-25, 17-25, 25-19, 15-9). With the win they will share the district title with the Tigers. Both teams finish 9-1 and will play each other again on Friday at 5:30 (TBA) to decide who will go into the playoffs as the number one seed.
Bridge City finished as the third place team (4-6) with a four set win over Hamshire-Fannett. BC will play Huntington on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7pm at Kirbyville HS in the first round of the playoffs.
Orangefield (2-8) defeated WOS in five sets. That means WOS (3-7) is tied with Hamshire-Fannett for fourth and they will have a play-in game on Friday at 4pm at HF.
The Deweyville Lady Pirates completed the regular season with a victory over West Hardin tonight 25-19, 25-12, 25-12 to finish the regular season 26-12 (8-2 in district). They will play a warmup game on Friday, Oct 28th at East Chambers beginning at 3:30. Playoff details will not be updated until the conclusion of the first round due to receiving a first round bye. They will play the winner of the Cayuga/ Normangee match that will be played in Fairfield next Tuesday.
