Congratulations to the following players who made the All-KOGT Basketball Team. Thank you to the coaches for their assistance.
Unfortunately they didn’t win many games but there’s no denying the talent of Eriel Jordan of WOS. Her play takes you back to Lady Mustangs heyday with “The Brittany’s.” Hopefully she’ll have the chance to play at the next level.
In my opinion Sheridan Rogers was one of the most consistent players I saw this year, she just needed the ball. She probably had more double-doubles than anyone in the area.
Not many freshmen make this team but Emmi Lummus didn’t play like a freshman. She played like the tough point guards that OF produced in the past. Coach Willis will tell you the best thing about Emmi is that she has three more years.
Bailee Bacon knows about being on varsity since her freshman year. Another do-it-all player that can play three positions.
Sabryn Crain has been one of my favorite athletes the last couple of years. Tough but with a little finesse and equally as good on the volleyball court.
My most improved player this year is Alia Brown. And I knew Coach Willis would make the Bobcats better, but wasn’t expecting such a big turnaround this soon. With a young Silsbee and Hardin-Jefferson team it should make for a great district next season.

Coach of the Year: Larry Sterling, BC
We start our boys team with Katon Brown who is just a sophomore. Mr. Double-Double for the Bears who brought back the finger roll. He’ll have the new coach smiling next season.
Win or lose you will walk away from a WOS game saying that KJ Miller gave it all he had. And that’s in any sport he plays.
And Thomas Wallace has been the most improved and most fun to watch because he’s always smiling.
The BC Cardinals are no question the most improved team with Coach Sterling leading the way. Glover, the floor leader at the point, Mirabella the sharp shooter, and sophomore Wiegreffe led the Cards to one of their best seasons in recent memory.
