Someone wasn’t happy on their birthday. Orange police report that a woman smeared icing and cake all over the walls and ceiling of a kitchen and took a valuable diamond ring. Officer Justin Kirkpatrick said he went to a house in the 3100 block of Oakmont Drive about 2 a.m. Thursday. The resident of the house said she had gotten a call about 8:30 p.m. telling her she better get home or her house would be destroyed.
When the resident came home about four hours later, she discovered the icing smeared all over. She told Officer Kirkpatrick she had a cake because it was the suspect’s birthday.
In addition, a gold and diamond ring valued at $13,000 was missing along with cash and prescription pills.
A woman described by police as intoxicated was arrested for domestic violence early Thursday after she bit the man she lives with on the nose. Orange Patrol Officer Lannie Claybar said he made the second police call of the night to an apartment at 111 Pine Avenue about 1:50 a.m. He said he smelled alcohol on the woman who was outside crying. She told the officer the man inside attacked her, but Officer Claybar said he saw no marks on her. The man inside had a cut on his nose and said the woman had bit him when he tried to get her to come inside the apartment.
Officer Claybar reported he took the woman to the Orange County Jail under an assault charge because he believed there could be more violence. The man who was bit did not want to follow charges or give a complaint.
Thursday night about 8, Officer Claybar went to the Baptist Emergency Room in Orange because a woman had a head injury. She told the officer someone she knows hit her in the side of the head with a club-like object.
The woman said she had driven her sister to a residence. A person came out and told her to get out of the driveway and never return. The victim said she told the person that as long as her sister lived there, she would come back.
Then the person got a club, came up to the driver’s window of her car and hit her on the left side of her head.
