March 12, 2025 – West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District (WOCCISD) proudly hosted a special reception to commemorate the official naming of the G&G Enterprises Arena. The event took place inside the newly named facility, bringing together district leaders, board members, G&G Enterprises staff, alumni, and friends to celebrate this historic occasion.
G&G Enterprises CEO Natasha Garrett and President and COO Colin Garrett, a proud West Orange-Stark alumnus from the Class of 1994, were honored for their generous donation of $1 million to WOCCISD. In recognition of their commitment to education and community development, the school district’s Board of Trustees granted G&G Enterprises exclusive naming rights to the arena for the next ten years.
The G&G Enterprises Arena, constructed as part of the 2018 bond and completed in May 2024, is a premier facility for athletics, fine arts, and community events. With a seating capacity of 1,701 in a 360-degree arena setting, the venue boasts state-of-the-art lighting, sound systems, and a four-sided cube video board at its center. The facility includes essential amenities such as boys’ and girls’ locker rooms, visitor locker rooms, an athletic trainer suite, coaches offices, a hospitality meeting room, concession areas, laundry facilities, and ample storage. Additionally, it provides elevator access to the newly constructed adjacent press box for the football field.
“This facility was a special one for us because West Orange-Stark has a special connection for us,” states Natasha Garrett, CEO, “it also opens a lot of doors for students and community in Orange County and beyond to use this arena for large events.”
Since its completion, the arena has quickly become a vital hub for the district and the community, hosting various high-profile events, including high school and college graduations, volleyball and basketball games, local playoff competitions, fine arts programs, pep rallies, and the Orange County Convocation, which brought together employees from five local school districts.
“We are incredibly grateful to G&G Enterprises and the Garrett family for their unwavering support of our district,” said Superintendent Dr. Rickie Harris. “This facility represents a significant investment in the future of our students and community, and we are proud to recognize it as the G&G Enterprises Arena officially.”
The evening’s event was a testament to the strong partnerships between WOCCISD and community stakeholders who continue to support the district’s mission of excellence in education, athletics, and the arts.
