On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers with the City of Orange Police
Department were dispatched to 1011 Ruby Lane in Orange, in reference to gunshots being
fired with a possibly injured subject.
Upon arrival, officers contacted one subject who had sustained a gunshot wound. Medical
personnel arrived on scene and began treating the subject. Officers then located a second subject
nearby who had also sustained a gunshot wound.
Both subjects were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston for treatment,
where they are both listed in stable condition.
Investigators met with witnesses and the victim in this incident; however, the victim did not wish
to cooperate with investigators.
