The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a fatal crash on Interstate Highway 10 east, near the 868-mile marker in Orange County, that occurred Sunday, June 14, 2026.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 10:40 a.m., a Honda three-wheeled motorcycle towing a small trailer was traveling east. It is reported that the motorcycle sustained a blow-out on the rear tire and struck the concrete barrier, at which point he and his passenger were ejected.
The rider, identified as a 71-year-old Michael Douvio of Duson, Louisiana, was pronounced deceased on scene by a Justice of the Peace. His passenger, 69-year-old Lynette Douvio, was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
