LCM lost to Nederland 73-45 to fall to 2-4 on the season. Alantheon Winn led the Bears with 28. The Bulldogs had four players in double figures and they hit 15 threes in the game. The Bears travel to the Aransas Pass Tournament this weekend.

Orangefield Bobcats notched another win on Tuesday 73-36. This brings them to 4-1 on the season. The top performers for the bobcats were Griffin Thomas with 23 points (5-7 from 3) and 3 rebounds. Zane Wrinkle with 19 points, 13 rebounds, 2 steals. Kane Smith with 8 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Jaden Scales with 8 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and a steal. The defense was anchored by Kayn Rucker with 4 blocked shots. Up next for the Bobcats will be the Big Sandy tournament on 11/30-12/2.

BC lost to Evadale 61-44. Gutierrez had 14 and Breaux 10 for the Cards.

Deweyville played their first game of the season and defeated Community 45-43. DJ Kelley had 19 and Kallel Crooks 10 for the Pirates.

The BC Lady Cardinals fell to Kountze 56-31. High Point: Kaylee Britten (9 pts). Leader in Rebounds: Nyah Hantz (9 rebounds).

The Vidor Lady Pirates improved to 5-0 with a 33-32 win at Orangefield. The Pirates were down 12 at the half and came back for the win. For the Lady Bobcats Mikayla Locke had 9 points, 8 steals, and 5 rebounds. Greenlea Oldham had 8 points and 14 rebounds. Rebecca Durbin had 6 points and a rebound. The Lady Bobcat varsity will be headed to the West Tournament this weekend.
OF won the JV game 54-6. Kendall Sullivan led the way offensively with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 steals. Madison McCormack had 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Olivia Smith had 7 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Gina Ragusa also chimed in with 7 points, 4 rebounds and 5 steals.

Monday night the Bobcats opened up district play on the road against the Kountze Lions.
Coach Coulter’s group had their first game of the year and came out of the gate hot winning 34-11. Mark Goleman led the way scoring 16 points off of his rebounds and running the floor. Andrew Bland, Dawson Revia, Logan Merriman, and Colt Guidroz each scored 4 points playing a great team game and hustling up and down the court.
The 8th grade B team was next looking to continue off of their success before the break. They started off sluggish coming off of Thanksgiving break but finally found their footing improving to 2-0 with a 25-6 victory. Noah Gleason took control of the game scoring 7 points and and several assists. Kane Kendrick hit 2 outside shots scoring 6 and Jesse Welch made some moves down low to score 4.
The 7th grade A team was searching for their first win of the season still coming off a close lose a few weeks ago. The Bobcats cruised to a 38-18 led by Kaysen Click who dominated the boards and scored 20 points. Easton Locke showed off his shooting touch scoring 8 and hitting 2 three pointers with a handful of assists and rebounds. Austin Erickson also had himself a game scoring 8 points and shooting the ball with more confidence.
Lastly, the 8th grade A team was looking to continue their winning ways and shake off the rust from over the break. The first quarter started fast and furious with the Cats jumping out to a 15-0 lead with constant pressure from the front court. The defense took control and then the shots started falling allowing the Bobcats to win 54-22. Kyran Morrow led the scoring with 14 followed by Jaxon Agerton with 8 and Logan Anderson with 6. Kolte Morgan and Gage Lucas had several steals in the middle of the floor during the press and John Royer went to work underneath with Gavin Reyes.
Next week all teams will be at home on hosting the Anahuac Panthers.
