This week baseball and softball teams play Tuesday and Thursday because of Good Friday. On Tuesday we had two walk-offs and a perfect game!
BASEBALL (Area Schedules)
It was a big night for the WOS baseball team as they picked up their first district win, beating Jasper 6-5 in 10 innings at Ronnie Anderson Park.

LCM walked off Vidor in the ninth inning 6-5 on a Clay Raney hit, scoring Jakob Scheiderer. Landon Richards and Marco Bandiero combined to strike out 17 Pirates. Bandiero also had 4RBI’s.

Orangefield run ruled Kountze 11-1. Caleb Fregia was 3-4 with a triple and 3 runs scored. Kaleb Menard gave up just one hit and struck out 5 in 4 innings

BC will host St. Louis, La on Wednesday in a non-district game.

SOFTBALL (Area Schedules)
BC blanked WOS 15-0 in four innings behind a Perfect Game for Carson Fall, who struck out all 12 batters. Fall and Makenna Knight added homeruns while Haley Munoz drove in three. The BC varsity and JV finish the first half of district 6-0.

LCM beat Silsbee 16-6. The Lady Bears responded after a 3-0 deficit. Ella Stephenson (above) got the win and drove in four runs. Keylie Washburn homered and drove in 3. Ava Wright was 2-2 and Lexi Moss and Eden Frenzel were 3-3.

Vidor pounded Jasper 13-2. Jaylen Welch had a big game, going 3-4 with 3RBI’s and Alyssa Korman was 2-4 with 4RBI’s.

Orangefield lost to Kountze 12-1. Hits for OF by Aubree Beck, Alysen Vincent, Hallee Becker, and Abigail Curphey. The Lady Bobcats fall to 6-2 in district and 18-8-1 on the season.

On Monday Deweyville (7-1) swept Sabine Pass 10-0, 6-0 in district play. Baylee Smith pitched both games giving up just 4 hits and striking out 30. Revere and Thompson with 3 hits each and Kemp was 2-2 with 2RBI.
