The SETX High School Fishing Championship took place this weekend on Sam Rayburn. Orange County fishermen once again did well in the tournament and placed four teams in the top 11 in the Angler of the Year category which combines their totals for all of the tournaments this season.
In the tournament, Vidor’s Kadin Bryant and Blayden Laughlin were fifth overall and posted the second biggest bass of the tournament.
Orangefield’s Tyler Shearin and Kameryn Henderson were third overall and finished 10th in the Angler of the Year standings.
Bridge City’s Bryce Miller and Luke Mulholland finished fourth in the tournament. Teammates Hunter Bellanger and Jake Carlin finished 37th in the tournament and 8th in AOY.
LCM’s Dylan Istre and McKee Ridgaway finished 34th in the championship tournament.
Justin James and Spencer Brister finished 5th in AOY.
Garrison Byerly and Will Henson finished 11th in AOY.
