Members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office SRT team completed the Basic SWAT course hosted by Beaumont PD. Orange County’s Special Response Team is a trained law enforcement tactical team designed to handle critical incidents, including barricaded suspects, high-risk warrant service, drug raids, civil order, and high-profile security protection. OCSO SRT will work closely with the Crisis Negotiations Unit to de-escalate situations peacefully.
Orange County Sheriff Bobby Smith said he is very appreciative of the men and women from different law enforcement agencies in Orange County who attended this specialized training and said it is our goal to peacefully resolve critical incidents and enhance public safety in Orange County
