The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the Tarkington Lady Longhorns 8-2 to go 5-0 in the Lufkin tournament this weekend.
Teal Kibodeaux got the start on the mound giving up 1 unearned run on 1 hit with 4 strikeouts. Abigail Stephenson finished the game giving up no hits, 1 unearned run and a strikeout.
Hallee Becker led the offense with 2 singles, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Jocelyn Droddy also had 2 hits including a double, with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Hannah Bisson and Madi LaSalle both had singles and an RBI. Kenli Vacek had a hit, a walk and 2 runs scored. Laila Agerton had a walk and a run scored. Aubree Gamblin had a run scored and an RBI. Teal Kibodeaux had a run scored.
The Lady Bobcats run their record to 6-0 and will continue play this Tuesday vs. Vidor with the JV beginning at 4:30 and the varsity at 6:00 in Orangefield.

Saturday, the WOS Lady Mustangs went 2-0 with an 8-1 victory against Newton and a 3-0 victory against Good Samaritan to improve to 4-1 on the season. The Lady Mustangs return home on Tuesday to face the Deweyville Lady Pirates.

Bridge City jumped out to a 4-0 lead over Nederland and hung on for a 4-3 win. K. Juneau and K. Christian had two hits each. K. Sheffield got the win.
