Saturday just before noon authorities responded to a one vehicle rollover on FM 1130 near M&S Grocery or what some refer to as the big curve.
An elderly man was driving north when he lost control on the curve, veered off to the right, running through several front yards before flipping and coming to a stop near a driveway. Orange Fire had to cut the man out of the Toyota Rav4. He was talking at the scene to paramedics. Acadian Air Med then transported the man to a Lake Charles Hospital with unknown injuries. The road was reopened at 12:40pm.
UPDATE: The man, Jerome Jones, 83, died from his injuries at the hospital.
