A woman from Orange was injured early Thursday morning when the SUV she was driving was hit by a car and rolled over. Orange police said 37-year-old Amanda Wilson was taken by Acadian Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Her injuries were described as not serious.
The collision was about 4:30 a.m. in the 2500 block near Burger King.
Orange police reported Wilson was driving a Chevrolet Suburban westbound on MacArthur in the inside lane when a Mercury Marquis pulled out from a private drive to turn eastbound. The Marquis hit the passenger side of the Suburban, causing it to roll over into the turning lane.
The driver of the Marquis was 48-year-old Kiva Worley Rasool of West Orange. Police reported she was not injured.
