The City of Pinehurst has begun the process of changing out all 90 fire hydrants in the city to give their fire department better access. The city reminds citizens if they are replacing a hydrant in your area, you may experience water service interruptions.
The city was able to replace the hydrants thanks to a grant from the General Land Office. City manager Robbie Hood said, “The city of Pinehurst is very grateful to the general land office for this opportunity to provide meaningful improvements for our citizens.”
