Thursday afternoon the Pinehurst Fire Department was called to a house fire at 2921 Flamingo which is off of 28th Street. The call came in around 4:20pm Firefighters from West Orange, Little Cypress, OCESD 4 and Bridge City assisted as they arrived to find a single story home with heavy smoke coming from the west end of the home. The Bears started with a seven run first, capped by a grand slam by Ella Stephenson. Keylie Washburn would hit a two run homer in the second for a commanding 9-0 lead. TPWD Weekly Fishing Report Week of May 7, 2025 Sam RayburnGOOD. Water stained; 73 degrees; 0.90 feet above pool. Many bass are still shallow trying to spawn, but this should finish this week. The best bite continues to be in 8-14 feet on ledges, humps and old timber with a big worm on a Texas rig or Carolina rig. Crappie and catfish are moving shallow and deep as they spawn. The magic depth has been 4-12 feet with minnows under corks and around trees on the bedding fish. Some crappie are moving to brush but the bite is not steady yet.
