Donnie Jack LeBlanc Sr., 73, of Vidor, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. Born July 25, 1951, Donnie was a proud U.S. Army veteran and a longtime resident of Vidor. He worked as a machinist for Gulf Copper in Port Arthur, TX, retiring in 2020 after many years of dedicated service. Donnie enjoyed the simple pleasures in life—boating, mowing the grass, and firing up the BBQ pit for family and friends. Dog Sends Two To Hospital
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, at approximately 5:24PM the Vidor Police Department received a call of a woman screaming. Officers were immediately dispatched to the 600 block of West Park. While officers were enroute, it was determined that there was an active dog attack in progress inside the residence. Upon arrival officers heard a woman in the yard, later determined to be a resident, screaming for help. The Bridge City Public Library is bringing the love of reading through the Scholastic Book Fair to the public library on Parkside Street. Friday morning the City of West Orange received its first historical marker as the 123 year old First Baptist Church of West Orange held its unveiling at the church on Dayton Street. Update: Saturday around 9am, the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the body of 46-year-old Jose Trevino was found in a pond behind an RV park along La. 12. - The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate Jose Trevino, age 46, of Orange. On Thursday, June 19th, at approximately 10:00am, Trevino’s vehicle was located on Highway 12 near Reneau Rd. Woman Struck And Killed
A woman was killed early Friday morning when she was struck by a pick up at the corner of Hwy. 62 and I-10. The Chevron store at the intersection is a Greyhound bus check point and a woman and her husband had stepped off the bus to smoke. According to witnesses a black Dodge Ram pickup entered the parking lot and then for some reason sped up and ran over the woman, jumped a curb and ran over a fence before coming to a stop.
