On Monday a man went to the hospital instead of jail after trying to elude police by jumping out of a two story balcony. Officer McDonald with the Orange Police Department was patrolling when he noticed a man on a bicycle that had a felony warrant. The Texas High School Baseball Coaches have announced their All-State Teams. They released Elite, first, second and third team selections. Orangefield's Caleb Fregia (right) made the 3A Elite Team and will play in the All-Star game Orangefield also placed two on the 3A Team with Pitcher Brycen Tait and OF Logan Cheek. 2024 Baseball Champions
Congratulations to the 2024 Texas High School State Baseball Champions. Side note: You may remember the name Craig Jones. He was hired as the new baseball coach at WOS in 2017 but left before the baseball season officially started in 2018 to take the head football position at Kirbyville. This season Jones was an assistant coach on the Liberty-Eylau baseball team and his son W.T. was a senior on the L-E team and was voted the tournament MVP.
