Congratulations to the 2024 Texas High School State Baseball Champions.
Side note: You may remember the name Craig Jones. He was hired as the new baseball coach at WOS in 2017 but left before the baseball season officially started in 2018 to take the head football position at Kirbyville. This season Jones was an assistant coach on the Liberty-Eylau baseball team and his son W.T. was a senior on the L-E team and was voted the tournament MVP.

For Ira it was their first appearance and first State Championship. Also the Chester Yellowjackets were a semifinalist team at State and they are coached by Coleman Butter who was once an assistant coach in Deweyville.
Collinsville won the 2A Title after losing in the semis last season. And they posted 21 shutouts in their 40 victories this year.
In 3A the Franklin Lions won their first state title in their first appearance. And they defeated Brock, a team making their 8th appearance since 2001.
Grapevine won 5A in a two-out walk off double after Lovejoy scored two in the seventh to tie the game.
Tomball won and finished the season with an incredible 41-3 record. Former Orangefield AD Kevin Flanigan is the AD at Tomball.
