For the second week in a row the Commissioners Court will have an agenda item on adopting parliamentary procedures for its meetings when it meets on Tuesday. County Judge Brint Carlton put the item on the agenda initially for the first meeting of the year saying it would help move the meetings along. Commissioner David Dubose has requested the item be discussed again. Dubose says he has some questions he wants clarified on the parliamentary procedures approved by the Court. Bridge City Mayor Kirk Roccaforte has served his city for over a decade. He has also served six years on the board of the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC). Roccaforte has been elected to be the new president of the regional commission. Mayor Roccaforte said he is honored to be a small part of the commission and on its board. Jack Seibert, 73, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2016, at his home.
