One Dies In Fire
On September 21, 2025, at approximately 5:11PM, OCESD#1 was called for a residential structure fire in the 1500 block of Cheyenne. Upon arrival, a single wide manufactured home was observed with heavy smoke and fire conditions. Fire crews quickly extinguished the flames and during the primary search, a female was found and removed from the home and resuscitation efforts began. by Sheriff Colton Havard Narcotics arrest in Deweyville: On Thursday, September 18, 2025, at approximately 6:59 p.m., Deputy Brent Sonnier was on patrol near the intersection of County Road 4181 and State Highway 12 when he conducted a traffic stop on a 2003 Ford Explorer for expired registration.
